On 24 April 2020, Frigo Plus d.o.o. signed an Innovation Voucher Grant Agreement with the Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts for the implementation of the project entitled “Improving the efficiency of a ground-to-water heat pump”, contract reference number K.K.03.2.2.03.0074, within the Call for Proposals INNOVATION VOUCHERS FOR SMEs. The project was co-financed from the European Structural and Investment Funds in the 2014–2020 financial period.
Project scope
The project includes services provided by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture in Zagreb in the field of operational measurements on the heat pump and optimisation of compressor control using variable-frequency speed regulation, with the aim of improving the efficiency of the ground-to-water heat pump.
As part of the project, the existing prototype of a heat pump using a natural refrigerant (a product of Frigo Plus d.o.o.) was modified by introducing variable-frequency compressor capacity control in order to improve operating efficiency in a real-life environment.
