Highly configurable industrial water chillers

FLEXY series units are high-efficiency, air-cooled water chillers. FLEXY units are characterized by a high level of configurability, i.e. the ability to integrate a wide range of optional equipment. They cover a broad spectrum of cooling capacities, making them a reliable foundation for medium and large industrial and commercial cooling systems. FLEXY is designed for outdoor installation.

The compressor of each refrigeration circuit is semi-hermetic reciprocating type. Capacity control is achieved using high-efficiency frequency inverters that enable soft start and smooth, continuous speed variation. Certain configurations can also achieve capacity control using compressor capacity heads instead of frequency inverters.

Evaporators are plate heat exchangers, reducing the required refrigerant charge. Air condensers are of microchannel aluminum design, and up to 16 such heat exchangers can be installed (configuration P16). Axial fans with EC motors enable variable speed operation, providing outstanding energy efficiency.

Each FLEXY unit is factory tested and delivered pre-charged with refrigerant and oil. Conformity assessment is carried out in accordance with the European Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) 2014/68/EU. The unit complies with all safety and environmental requirements.

As part of the optional equipment, installing separate heat exchangers
for natural cooling (free cooling) affects the unit length. With 6 separate
air heat exchangers installed (forming 3 individual V-modules), the unit
length can reach up to 7822 mm. Integrated free-cooling heat exchangers
do not affect the unit length, as they are integrated within the condenser V-modules.
