Medium- and high-capacity liquid chillers / heat pumps

TOPDUAL units are high-efficiency, water-cooled water chillers / heat pumps in a compact design. They are developed to cover cooling and/or heating needs for systems of all sizes. They are intended for indoor installation, while outdoor installation is also possible with certain adaptations and consultation with the manufacturer.

Compressors are semi-hermetic reciprocating types, controlled by frequency inverters that provide soft start and continuous speed variation for accurate regulation of cooling or heating capacity.

TOPDUAL units use double plate heat exchangers with advanced heat-transfer characteristics (SWEP True Dual technology), which connect both refrigerant circuits to a common hydraulic circuit using a single plate heat exchanger. Accordingly, one evaporator and one condenser are required. This design ensures compactness by reducing the number of plate heat exchangers while maintaining maximum heat transfer efficiency—resulting in a significant reduction of the required refrigerant charge.

TOPDUAL units can be designed for high-temperature heating. High-temperature heat pumps use the natural refrigerant R600a to heat water up to 90 °C. Consultation with the manufacturer is required.

Each unit is factory tested and charged with refrigerant and oil. Supervision and conformity assessment of the device (assembly) are carried out in accordance with the European Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) 2014/68/EU. The unit meets safety and environmental requirements.
